Golfer Phil Mickelson, the 2 time Humana Challenge winner has trusted to play in the event in which he has enjoyed huge success.

In May, Mickelson will be inducted in the World Golf Hall of Fame and he is the second Hall of Fame pick to enter the Humana Challenge field. Greg Norman, the leader of the International team at the last two Presidents Cups and twice British open champion, also pulled himself in his first ever Humana Challenge since 1986.

Mickelson stated that he is honored to join President Clinton and the Clinton Foundation for the Humana Challenge. He admires President Clinton and the charitable work of his Foundation that serves millions of people across the world and he applauds him for joining Humana in using the tournament to help promote health and wellness. Some of his best seasons have come after beginning at this event and he is really excited about coming back again, told the ace golfer.

Larry Thiel, the Humana Challenge Tournament Chairman told that Phil Mickelson is one of the iconic names in golf and they could not be more delighted to have Phil back playing an event in which he has enjoyed much success. He further added that everyone who has the privilege of watching Phil play sees a true master at his craft and they are thrilled that their fans will have that opportunity in a venue that Phil is comfortable playing in.

The Humana Challenge is scheduled to begin from 16th January and to go on till 22nd January. The tournament will be held at La Quinta. The tournament was previously known as Bob Hope Classic. Mickelson is one of the seven golfers to won this tournament more than one time.
Mickelson’s average finish is 12th in this tournament. This tournament has generated more than $50 million in contributions to the Eisenhower Media Center as well as charities within the Coachella Valley, in last
52 years.
