Davies and O’Meara Makes It To The Golf Hall of Fame

Laura Davies and Mark O’Meara are two among four players chosen to be inducted into Golf Hall of Fame, Class of 2015. The other two players are David Graham and A.W. Tillinghast.

For the first time, a committee of sixteen, made up mostly of Golf Administrators chose the players to be inducted unlike the previous years when independent Golf writers made the choices. In order to be selected, one would have to get approval from 12 members at least.

With Tiger Woods set to be out of action at least till December, Brandel Chamblee has found a new object of scorn in his path in the form of Phil Mickelson, with the analyst for the Golf Channel claiming that the veteran Ryder Cup star should start owning up more about the string of defeats that the United States has suffered in the event in recent years.

As PGA USA championship gets underway the round one saw Adam Scott currently world number 2 faced problems of in the first round as he lacked the edge of scoring it big. Currently a week ago he was dethroned from world number 1 position and this week he was finding problems in making things the way he wanted to. Currently he was at 71 at even par on a day which was perfect from scoring. After his dismal performance in the first round of the PGA championship the player was found heading directly for a practice session.

Steve Stricker still can be a part of the US Ryder team

The US captain Tom Watson this week named a six member squad for the Ryder cup this year. The Ryder cup is all set to begin from September this month and will see the US and the European team fight for the ultimate glory. The current six member squad of US has some injury concerns and that is one of the biggest concerns for Watson. There are speculations on many players in the top 6 suffering from injury. Despite of the injuries the players have been selected for the championship.
